Ops...its been about one month since I've last blogged. Life have been hectic everyday and I've almost 101 things on my hands to complete. Okay, I may have been exaggerating but I'm indeed way behind lots of things... Like the photos to develop, new year clothes to buy, books to return(which are long overdue), my room to clean...urgh. Thinking bout it gives me a headache!
Anyway, went for a quick shopping after work today and I happen to pass by this nice tiny shop selling waffles, so we sat down for a quick bite. :)
It's quite tasty, actually. The waffle was crispy, going well with the ice-cream. The 'waffleman' is also a funny person, that makes your stay at the tiny cafe enjoyable.
Only regret? I didnt ordered the triple chocolate ice cream flavour. LOL.
Had a relatively quiet new year eve at home. Steamboat feast plus cake, for celebration of Dad's birthday. Its just as well too. Since restaurents are pretty packed on this day of the year and Lucky gets to join in with us. :) Also, some people have bombed my father's pocket and we didnt have the heart to bomb it the second time.
Spent quite a lot buying Dad's birthday gift but its worth it to see that he's happy recieving the gifts. :)Its always worth it spent money on the people you love.
Come 2008, I'm not really sure if I have the patient to tolerate some people. They have been pushing my limits everytime we met. It just makes my blood boils when they are out to exploit my father, but trying to make it seems like they care on the surface. $@#%%^#@
Anyway, I shall not touch more on these people. Simply because they are NOT worth talking about.
With the arrival of a new year, I really got to stick to my resolutions. So tonight I will sleep at 1am (knocked out at 2.30am last night!). Hee.
All right. My mind is a total blank. I've got writer's blogger's block. I wanted to blog bout my baking session with E and also a review of 2007, but I just cant get round to doing it. I guess I'm just too tired...Zzz
Went Ikea for a quick shopping and also a light snack at their small cafe.
I was munching on my hotdog when this maid and three brats kids caught my attention. The maid was frowning in the first place, and mum pointed out that the parents were missing. So I just casually said that maybe the parents were still shopping and went back to my hotdog.
Next, this totally irresponsible man in his thirties strode by the table that was occupied by the maid and the kids and just casually left his leftover cup of softdrink on the lower level of the table. I mean, this person was just few steps away from the bin and he have to be so lazy to leave the cup, at other's tables also?
So the eldest of the kids went over to look at the cup (left behind by the stranger). There must be some leftover in the cup...as the next thing i know the boy took a sip from the cup. (O_O) The maid, needless to say, failed to notice.
I laughed myself silly then when the other 2 younger kids tried stuffing the half of the hotdog bun into their tweeny weeny mouths. Of course they did not succeed and I laughed even harder when pieces of the bun fell out of their mouths. The maid looked over at me but she seems to have failed to notice her charges stuffing themself silly thou. Ok, you can call me mean i guess but I have zero feelings for brats.
Next, papa and mama arrived. Mama was too busy looking over her purchase at ikea (see, her goods are more important than her own kids) while papa was busy nursing his stomach. Maid is gone. Now, the youngest boy found the cup too. Apparently there was STILL some drink left. So...the youngest boy proceeded to emptying the cup of softdrink. (O_O) --> this is the only face i can managed.
Before I left the kids' moves were still undetected. the girl was even licking a piece of paper she'd found.
What a family. And we are in a educated society. What well-behaved kids.
Things are so wrong for this weekend. So, so, very wrong. Things didnt went as I've planned initially and I'm going to hate tomorrow when it arrives. :(
Have been telling myself to face tomorrow positively. BUT I CANT! Boo. Cant wait for Thursday to arrive.
From now on i'm going to blog more faithfully. Whenever possible.
Youmi Kimura - Always With Me, from Spirited Away, Studio Ghibi (ok i think i mis-spelt this word)
Really, really nice voice. And Spirited Away is a nice animation that i've re-watched it several times. Then again, Studio Ghibi works are all not bad. :)
F.I.R- 三个心愿

edit: the youtube video is too big! will have to change blogskin again.
Just received this email from S. A Hello Kitty-themed hotel!
See? Hello Kitty welcomes you to the hotel...
The beds..how I wish I could lie on them!!
Yes! Even the toilets have Kitty in them! They even included Kitty in the mirrors!
Of course, not forgetting face towels and soaps...Even the basket cloth is Kitty print! *gasp*
If you were to enlarge the kettle, yes, there's a Hello Kitty head on it!
What a HUMONGOUS Kitty plush! And yes, even the CD-player is kitty-fied! Haha!
SO much Hello Kitty, so much pink! Leave it to the creators to put in as much of the Kitty into one hotel room as possible! hehe. Now...where on Earth is this hotel???
recieved this in my email inbox today and thought that i should post this up. well, at least with this invention, one will have something more to read when doing business in the toilet. :X
how bout learning something new while in the toilet??
anyway, sis says that this type of toilet roll were being sold in the gift shop she once worked in. going at $10/roll. why, i wonder if anyone will pay so much for something that's going straight to the bowels??
yucks. i feel so sick and icky all over now after gulping down the cup noodles. :( the supposedly 'healthy cup noodles'. ok, so i've fall victim to yet another advertising gimmick. well, the cup noodles looked so tasty then... and it was stated as HEALTHY.
geez, i should have know. cup noodles will always taste like cup noodles. they make one (at least, ME) feels so sick after eating.
yea yea, i know that cup noodles are instant food and they will NEVER be sooooo healthy. i ate it just as a sake to statisfy my cravings. NO! corrections, they might be healthy. compared to instant noodles, fast food... its just that they don fare that well when placed beside a bowl of homemade soup noodles with fresh prawns and REAL mushrooms. bleahx.
ok, back to smart consumerism (do this word exist?). so how many of us do really take a look at the ingredients list when buying food? less than 20%, perhaps? how many would know what is consider a healthy selection of food? do they really mean it when they put 'no preservatives added"? hmm, how could the product have a long shelf live if no preservatives is added?? are the ingredients really the only ones used when making the products?
i guess i don really wish to know some of the answers to the questions above. :P and i've better go lie down abit.
cant wait for the homemade dumplins and fried rice later. yum.
