merry xmas!
its finally XMAS!! (^_^) had a relatively quiet xmas today. maybe its because i've went out both on 23rd and 24th that i'm bushed now.
i meet up with aishah, pl and irene on 23rd for a pre xmas lunch. but there wasnt any exchanged of presents since we were all kind of broke at the moment and it will be a headache doing last minute shopping for gifts. :P but irene couldnt come as she was called up for work at the last moment... hai. so it was just us three meeting at orchard...
oh my, i got a GREAT shock when i arrived at orchard! it was soooo crowded with people doing last minute shopping. i nearly fainted. luckily my blood sugars didnt drop then or i would certainly had really fainted. almost couldnt find pl and aishah at the mrt station. when we finally found each other we walked over to the swensens' restaurant for lunch. so nice to meet aishah after a year! there wasnt any moments when we stared uneasily at each other with nothing to say, just full moments of constant chatterings and me and pl bombarding aishah with our lame jokes...haha.
i ordered baked rice for lunch at swensens. as usual it so long to come~almost died of hunger. when my food finally arrived aishah n pl were almost finished with theirs. after lunch we walked over to heeren and had a fun time taking and decorating neoprints. aishah was so comical and daring when it comes to taking neoprints! then we accompany aishah to shop around for clothes. saw lots of nice clothes but didnt bring any money to buy. think i'm going to go down to heeren sometimes this week again.we even walked over to far east to look at clothes. my feet was almost breaking then! so we headed back to the mrt station and took the train home...
it was a nice feeling meeting back old friends. guess the four of us should meet us more often. yup irene included. maybe next year xmas lunch should include a session of gift exchanges. since aishah did commented that she initially thought we would be giving presents. haha.
when i woke up 24th (which was yesterday, haha.) morning mum and dad were already out shopping for xmas gifts (for us!). fixed lucky a xmas breakfast after his walk: baked rice doggie version. got the idea from the baked rice i ate at swensens yesterday.
since dad got our camera back from servicing the day before i snapped pics of lucky and his xmas dinner (until the batt ran flat). must have been a nice doggie dinner as he cleaned his plate out. of coz, with the exception of the green peas..haha.
then second uncle came to ask me to teach him how to copy a cd using HIS labtop. the nerve of him. >_< mum and dad came back then... of coz with our presents! :) i couldnt wait and opened my present. it was a pink panther hug pillow. which means my pekkle had to give way...:(
after a quick lunch me and my siblings took the bus to tampines central. to shop for xmas gifts... my poor bro. he and sis sharing xmas gifts but he's doing the paying. haha. omg... tm and cs was SOOO crowded! another lesson i learnt: only go out shopping when u've finished deciding what to buy. i spent the first hour 'touring' cs, my mind blank. only when i went to tm i started my shopping...
and i bought: a fila bottle for my bro, a nike band wrist for my dad, a clover leaf anklet for my sis , hand moisturiser for my mum plus a lamb jerky for lucky (no choice since he hates the sqeaky soft toy i bought for him) . all small gifts only since i'm jobless! but i hope its the thought that counts for my family! bigger gifts next yr!
meet up with mum and dad around 7pm. they were buying log cake to bring to my aunt's place later. after dumping our gifts back home we head to my aunt's place for dinner! steamboat... with aunt telling us bout her diastrous trip to korea. haha. after that we even had korea tidbits. thumbs up to my aunt. she brought a boxful back!
my family sneaked off to macdonald's when the gathering at my aunt's place was finished since mum say she wasnt full... then saw this pitiful homeless man who kept drinking the water people dumped.
when we arrived home it was 12! so we wrapped our gifts and had a gift exchange then. i even wrapped lucky's present up in spare printing paper. he keep waiting for us to open up the gift for him. then he saw me tearing my gift wrapper up and he finally got the idea... so cute of him. tear here, bite there and he finally got his lamb jerky out! haha... and i recieved a cute teddy bear mug plus a bead necklace! thanx to my bro and sis! :)

dogs for adoption...
in just two days, my family came across two dogs that were up for adoption. first one was a lovely shih tzu at lucky's groomer and the second one was a sweet little puppy that my neighbout picked up just last night. but too bad we cant adopt them. if i have my way i would willingly give them a loving home... oh gosh, where have all those kind hearted souls gone too? come out and give these poor doggies a home for xmas!!!
went to tampines mall just now to buy oreo's hamster mix.( found the old packet was infested with tiny insects last night. gross!) bought myself a fake pearl braclet. i cant control myself and bought lucky a early xmas present- a softtoy in the traditional colors of xmas. but he's still ignoring the doll for the time being. haha. waste of my money again.
my sis and i even went to see the adventurer who is still submerge in the tank of water. thumbs up to him for his preseverance!
and i still don understand why people have the heart to abandon their pets at this time of the year... lucky is one damn lucky fellow to be able to have a nice shelter over his little head.

so did i miss blogging?
tried solving a sudoku puzzle just now. bleah~ guess i'm just bad with numbers... suppose to logic ur way out but i did trial and error. in the end didnt even know what i'm doing. got to ask huda to teach me more bout this weird grid puzzle that has taken the world over....
was sick almost the whole week. my poor and weak body was invaded by the flu germs. really horrible germs too. first it made me dizzy when starring at the computer screen for too long. then it made me stayed up the whole of tuesday night vomiting! so i stayed at home for the whole week. in case i catch any germs again if i go out. at least i completed a PS game, Tomba...which was bought almost 6yrs ago. haha. but only completed just today. at least its completed! haha...
was surfing the web just now for dogs' stuff... thinking of buying a new bow for lucky, a doggy bone toy and some latex bands! thinking of growing lucky's hair long so a pretty bow would come in handy. but kind of cash-tight wor... must work hard in looking for a new job!

chicken little
hehe went to watch 'chicken little' with pl yesterday despite jiayi telling me it was crap and papers or mag reviews for it was bad. i chosed the mandarin version of the movie thou. since i heard the english voicing and feel its too mature for chicken little.
i enjoyed the movie actually. even though the plot was kind of crappy. but show's voice made chicken little VERY cute! esp when he's hemming and hawwing... haha. he looked very cute and i feel like hugging him whenever he's specs seems to be falling off from his face..haha. anyway besides the crappy plot, the animation was quite well done. esp the part where little's dad feathers were fluttering, almost life-like. so its also good to stick to one's believe that the movie is good, or i might have missed a good movie. haha.
took lucky to the grooming sch today. omg! the grooming courses are so X! and those people commented lucky's haircut was weird... hmmm, really not? he still look very cute to him... haha. on the contrary those dogs with dyed fur look weird. >_<

my da gu
my da gu~ someone who wears really weird clothes, talks so loudly in public that every passer-by will stare and eats like a hungry pig in a restaurant. BUT she is also someone who willingly treats her five nieces and nephews to a movie, orders a LOT of food in a restaurant for them to eat and also buys them stuff generously. so do u think i shld like or dislike my da gu? haha.
after yesterday trip to the movie with da gu i'm really starting to change my perspective bout her...she isnt as bad as i thot, but honest speaking, she does embarasses us sometimes. :P
she made us get up soooo early(for me) yesterday to meet at 9.30am to catch the 10.45am show of 'aeon flux'. actually that wasnt such a bad movie as i initially thot it was. the female lead is such a great leaper in the movie man. can leap SOOO far. haha. imagine the yr 2415 where things such as modification of legs into hands (yucks!) could be easily done. technology is so advance then, yet the earth's population is almost wiped due to a virus...and the only medicine which could save the remaining population had left them sterile. soooo, the scientists resorted to cloning! yup, the part bout the cloning is kind of old plot. and the overall plot is kind of short. when u realise the secret, its almost over. but i really admire the parts where they show new gadgets... so cool. but the part when the mohicians scatch a bit of their skin till their flesh comes out so they can 'meet' their head is disgusting! yeech! but the movie's ending is meaningful where the aeon say that it doesnt matter how many times we live, but is to live ONCE, and live with meaning and hope, is nice and meaningful.
and after the movie we went swensens for lunch. da gu ordered so much food for us that i actually find swensens food disgusting! first time ever! haha...when we finished we went to shop around. then we (meaning me and my sis) went kind of mad when we went bugis street. haha. feel kind of bad, we spent so much money of da gu's! :P
as if not tired enough, my sis even suggest gg grandma's place play majong! urgh... i hate majong now. i don play for fun, i play to entertain my mum and grandma....

shopping spree
went to centuary square just now and finally completed my 'quest' for nice skirts! bought two skirts which i like plus a VERY simple white vest...then was too tired to shop for necklaces and stuff.
money is soooo little nowadays. i'm kind of broke now after today and wednesday's shopping. :P really must quickly find a new job!
and tml da gu is REALLY treating the five of us to the movies! she phoned just now to confirm we will be watching 'aeon flux' plus free lunch too! haha.... haven pay attention to what kind of movie 'aeon flux' is about. anyway, not me paying...:P
but now i'm starting to worry for da gu-she's going to spent a LOT of money tml man...haha
