time to get a bit organized on yorkies grooming here! :) things i REALLY need to purchase:
- a good grooming brush, CCS (for a more enjoyable grooming session plus lesser hair breakage) - flaxseed oil/ fish oil (to improve his skin) - latex bands ( for tying topknots)
and of course, a trip to the vet is a must. :P
the brush is kind of expensive. but i guess its kind of worth it. since, if well taken care of, a CCS brush will NEVER rust. so its going to last me for a LONG time. but... the most troublesome is that there is NO petshops near where i live is a CCS retailer. :/so i have to wait till i'm free before i can really go down to sk to get the brush.
after many days of reading up on flaxseed oil. i'm still kind of confuse. there are so MANY arguments bout adding flaxseed oil as a supplement for dogs! some say that dogs will not be able to breakdown the omega3 found in flaxseed oil while others argued that omega3 is actually harmless, as compared to omega6, found in most fish oil. did some reading up on dogs forums too. and it seems that it still goes down to the individual dog. another thing is, i'm not sure how much to give of a dog of 1.6kg... so i guess i will read up more on flaxseed oil, then consult dr tan, before getting it. :)
