merry xmas!
its finally XMAS!! (^_^) had a relatively quiet xmas today. maybe its because i've went out both on 23rd and 24th that i'm bushed now.
i meet up with aishah, pl and irene on 23rd for a pre xmas lunch. but there wasnt any exchanged of presents since we were all kind of broke at the moment and it will be a headache doing last minute shopping for gifts. :P but irene couldnt come as she was called up for work at the last moment... hai. so it was just us three meeting at orchard...
oh my, i got a GREAT shock when i arrived at orchard! it was soooo crowded with people doing last minute shopping. i nearly fainted. luckily my blood sugars didnt drop then or i would certainly had really fainted. almost couldnt find pl and aishah at the mrt station. when we finally found each other we walked over to the swensens' restaurant for lunch. so nice to meet aishah after a year! there wasnt any moments when we stared uneasily at each other with nothing to say, just full moments of constant chatterings and me and pl bombarding aishah with our lame jokes...haha.
i ordered baked rice for lunch at swensens. as usual it so long to come~almost died of hunger. when my food finally arrived aishah n pl were almost finished with theirs. after lunch we walked over to heeren and had a fun time taking and decorating neoprints. aishah was so comical and daring when it comes to taking neoprints! then we accompany aishah to shop around for clothes. saw lots of nice clothes but didnt bring any money to buy. think i'm going to go down to heeren sometimes this week again.we even walked over to far east to look at clothes. my feet was almost breaking then! so we headed back to the mrt station and took the train home...
it was a nice feeling meeting back old friends. guess the four of us should meet us more often. yup irene included. maybe next year xmas lunch should include a session of gift exchanges. since aishah did commented that she initially thought we would be giving presents. haha.
when i woke up 24th (which was yesterday, haha.) morning mum and dad were already out shopping for xmas gifts (for us!). fixed lucky a xmas breakfast after his walk: baked rice doggie version. got the idea from the baked rice i ate at swensens yesterday.
since dad got our camera back from servicing the day before i snapped pics of lucky and his xmas dinner (until the batt ran flat). must have been a nice doggie dinner as he cleaned his plate out. of coz, with the exception of the green peas..haha.
then second uncle came to ask me to teach him how to copy a cd using HIS labtop. the nerve of him. >_< mum and dad came back then... of coz with our presents! :) i couldnt wait and opened my present. it was a pink panther hug pillow. which means my pekkle had to give way...:(
after a quick lunch me and my siblings took the bus to tampines central. to shop for xmas gifts... my poor bro. he and sis sharing xmas gifts but he's doing the paying. haha. omg... tm and cs was SOOO crowded! another lesson i learnt: only go out shopping when u've finished deciding what to buy. i spent the first hour 'touring' cs, my mind blank. only when i went to tm i started my shopping...
and i bought: a fila bottle for my bro, a nike band wrist for my dad, a clover leaf anklet for my sis , hand moisturiser for my mum plus a lamb jerky for lucky (no choice since he hates the sqeaky soft toy i bought for him) . all small gifts only since i'm jobless! but i hope its the thought that counts for my family! bigger gifts next yr!
meet up with mum and dad around 7pm. they were buying log cake to bring to my aunt's place later. after dumping our gifts back home we head to my aunt's place for dinner! steamboat... with aunt telling us bout her diastrous trip to korea. haha. after that we even had korea tidbits. thumbs up to my aunt. she brought a boxful back!
my family sneaked off to macdonald's when the gathering at my aunt's place was finished since mum say she wasnt full... then saw this pitiful homeless man who kept drinking the water people dumped.
when we arrived home it was 12! so we wrapped our gifts and had a gift exchange then. i even wrapped lucky's present up in spare printing paper. he keep waiting for us to open up the gift for him. then he saw me tearing my gift wrapper up and he finally got the idea... so cute of him. tear here, bite there and he finally got his lamb jerky out! haha... and i recieved a cute teddy bear mug plus a bead necklace! thanx to my bro and sis! :)
